Geneva preview: 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque
The best-selling Land Rover vehicle gets new full-LED adaptive headlights, a new engine lineup and other enhancements.
Land Rover has released a teaser image for its 2016 Range Rover Evoque, ahead of an official debut next month in Geneva.
The company is currently highlighting the refreshed Evoque's new headlamp design. It will be Land Rover's first model with full LED headlights, distinguished by four U-shape DRL halos.
The lighting system will be adaptive, automatically aiming the lenses to follow the curve of the road. The LEDs will also likely dim when approaching traffic to avoid dazzling other drivers.
Full details remain unclear, but Land Rover promises a new engine lineup, new convenience features, interior enhancements and modest exterior tweaks for the 2016 model year.
"Our challenge has been to enhance the Range Rover Evoque without diluting its iconic design," said Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern. "The design refreshments give it an even greater presence on the road yet retain the emotional appeal that has made it so popular with more than 400,000 customers around the world."
Further details will be announced on February 22.
