Chicago preview: 2019 Lexus NX F Sport Black Line Special Editionby Drew Johnson
The Lexus NX is getting a sporty trim package.
Lexus is enhancing its popular NX crossover with a new limited edition trim. Known as the 2019 Lexus NX F Sport Black Line Special Edition, the new model will make its debut at the 2019 Chicago auto show.The Black Line Special Edition, of which Lexus will produce 1,000 units, is largely based on the NX F Sport. However, the limited edition model gets a few unique touches exclusive to the nameplate.All NX Black Line models will ship standard with a 14-speaker Mark Levinson premium auto system, which is a first for the NX line. The special edition model will also sport Arctic White and Black seats, a black headliner and unique floor mats.Standard features for the NX Black Line include a 10.3-inch navigation system, blind spot monitor and ventilated front seats. Buyers will be able to select from three exterior colors -- Ultra White, Obsidian and Atomic Silver. Wheels are borrowed from the NX F Sport model and measure 19-inches in diameter.The front-wheel drive version of the NX F Sport Black Line Special Edition will list from $48,575; the all-wheel drive model will carry a base MSRP of $49,975. Sales are scheduled to begin in February.
