Here's a bespoke surfboard to go with your bespoke Rolls-Royce

The pair will be on display in Cannes and Marbella, Andalusia.

No matter what your income level, surfing is apparently a cool lifestyle to link to your choice of car. So to woo the wealthy, Rolls-Royce is showing off a Ghost with a custom surfboard on it.

The luxury automaker is about to embark on a Mediterranean tour that will pass through Cannes in the south of France and Marbella on the Andalusian coast. Seven cars will accompany the tour to its locations, called Hot Spots, including a the new Phantom, the Cullinan SUV, and cars built by Rolls-Royce's Bespoke customizers such as the Dawn Adamas.

As for the surfboard, it was commissioned by an unnamed Hot Spot customer the previous year. It was crafted in the UK by professional marquetarians out of at least four different types of wood, including American walnut, ripple sycamore, figured anigre and birch. Oh yeah, and 24-carat gold leaf. According to Rolls Royce, the board will be mounted on a Bespoke Ghost to "reflect his patronage of Ghost and passion for surfing and surfing ephemera."

The Hot Spots tour will allow potential customers of the jet set to sample Rolls-Royce's wares. The Cannes location will be at the Intercontinental Carlton Hotel on the Boulevard de la Croisette from July 30 to August 12, while the Marbella location occurs at the "exclusive" La Reserva Golf Course in Sotogrande from August 15 to September 2.

Meanwhile, normal people will just have to check out their latest Fords and Kias at their local baseball stadiums and take their inspiration from vehicles like Nissan Titan Surf Camp.
