The roadbook rules
LeftLaneNews covers an industry that markets itself heavily, and this policy sets out what the publication checks before repeating a claim.
Launch, review and comment
A launch report, a driving impression and a personal opinion are presented separately so their weight is never confused.
An article is only called a test when the vehicle has been driven, and the conditions of that drive are stated.
Manufacturer figures
Range, output and charging figures are attributed to the manufacturer or to the regulator that certified them.
A cycle used for one market is not quoted as if it applied to every market the vehicle is sold in.
Updates and recalls
Specifications, prices and availability change through a model year, and published articles are updated accordingly.
An error can be reported through the contact form, and the correction is shown with the article’s update date.
Bylines on the road
Author pages state which segments a contributor follows, without claiming factory access or manufacturer positions.
Commercial content
Sponsored material carries its label and is never presented as an independent road test.
No manufacturer or supplier obtains a favourable verdict, a comparison result or the removal of a documented fault.
Safety and maintenance
Maintenance and driving guidance is general information and does not replace the owner’s manual or a qualified workshop.
